What is eConsult?
eConsult enables NHS based GP practices to offer online consultations to their patients. This allows patients to submit their symptoms or requests to their own GP electronically, and offers around the clock NHS self-help information, signposting to services, and a symptom checker.
eConsult is the most widely used digital triage tool in NHS primary care, built by NHS GPs for NHS patients, designed to enhance patient access, improve practice efficiencies and signpost patients to the right place at the right time for their care.
Online Consultations
You are able to submit an online consultation between 8am and 6:30pm on normal working days from Monday to Friday. This is an ideal option for contacting us about non-urgent issues. Online consultations will be triaged by our Patient Coordinators and then reviewed by a GP or other appropriate clinician who will respond to you accordingly.
You may not receive a full response to your online consultation for up to 3 working days from the time of submission but we will provide you with progress updates prior to this. An online consultation is not suitable or urgent issues. For urgent, on-the-day care please telephone our Patient Coordinators on 01227 284300. In the event of a medical emergency you should always phone 999.
